Fully Automatic (for DUET or FaxAbility numbers)Your fax is automatically connected when the unit recognises the Telstra DUET or Telecom NZ FaxAbility ring pattern. Phone(s) attached to the unit do not ring if the call is to your DUET or FaxAbility number. |
Semi-automatic (Voice Priority)Phone must be answered (by a person or answering machine). If unit hears there is an incoming fax, the unit automatically connects the fax. Answering machine is automatically disconnected or person answering call just hangs up since fax has been activated. This mode assumes that most of the incoming calls are voice calls and that occasionally you may also get a voice call on your DUET or FaxAbility number. |
Fully Automatic (Fax Priority)Unit answers the incoming call. It listens to the incoming call to determine if it is a fax. If it is, the unit automatically connects the incoming call to your fax machine. If the call is NOT a fax then the phone (or answering machine) connected to the unit will start to ring. This capability is useful if you have a standard phone line (i.e. you do not have a DUET or FaxAbility number) and need to automatically accept faxes on this number. |
